At Gauthier Amedee, we are committed to serving southern Louisiana residents both in the courtroom and in the community. Our attorneys believe that one of the best ways to help develop bonds of friendship, teamwork and discipline in our young people is through encouraging their participation in team sports.

Since 2003, our firm has been a proud sponsor of the Gauthier Amedee Post 81 American Legion Baseball team. The Gauthier Amedee Post 81 team, or G&A for short, recruits the best male and female players from three high schools right here in Gonzales: Dutchtown High School, St. Amant High School, and East Ascension High School. Though they come from from a variety of diverse backgrounds, the players on the G & A team have formed strong bonds as friends and teammates.

We are proud to say that since 2003, Gauthier Amedee Post 81 has represented our home town of Gonzales by winning several Louisiana state finals contests, as well as tournaments and exhibition games all over the country.

Attorney Jody Amedee is a lifelong baseball fan, so when the opportunity arose to provide young people in our community with the equipment they need to play the game they love, our firm was happy to help. Gauthier Amedee pays for the team’s uniforms, equipment, travel costs, and also works with American Legion league officials to hire coaches and umpires.

“It’s been a really uplifting experience watching them be so successful. The players inspire me. We also have a lot of great volunteers that help with coordinating travel and making sure everything runs smoothly. It’s just been wonderful to keep my hand in the sport like this.”
