Dog Attack in West Monroe Claims The Life of One
Dog attacks may seem like rare occurrences however statistics prove differently. It is estimated that more than 4.5 million people in the United States are bitten by dogs annually, according to the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Unfortunately, some of these dog attacks result in serious injury or even death as we have seen this past week in West Monroe. A woman was at a boarding facility where she was attacked by a dog and suffered serious injury.
Due to the severity of her injuries, the woman passed away. We would like to offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
As for the dog, it was handed over to Ouachita Parish Animal Control. At this time, no further details have been provided.
