Man Dies in Collision with Semitruck

The Louisiana State Police report a 33-year-old was recently killed in a crash involving an 18-wheeler on northbound LA-1. An article on the incident is available here.

Police say the man—who was not wearing a seat belt—was pronounced dead at the scene when his pickup truck rear-ended a stopped tractor-trailer on LA-1 between Plaquemine and Addis. The driver of the 18-wheeler—who had stopped at a railroad crossing—was uninjured in the collision. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
